A redeco of Sixwing, Superion was only available by purchasing all six individually-carded Micromaster Aerialbots. When the six Micromasters are not combined, the remaining kibble can form an odd tech-jet a single Micromaster can pilot.

Though the Aerialbots were apparently originally slated as KB Toys exclusives, they barely showed up in the ever-shrinking chain. They saw more general release in Europe, and in the States, finally began showing up in other chains like CVS drug stores and Big Lots!.

In Europe, Superion was released under the Cybertron brand instead, with different packaging and instructions.
